Twitter is TechCrunch is the Blogosphere

Twitter seems to model TechCrunch:

and TechCrunch eerily seems to model the blogosphere as a whole:

Is this meaningful?

To me it would just mean that all 3 services are quite popular among a specific population (think geeks here), and thus follow this population’s connection trends.
If you compare twitter with last.fm (non-geek population) you’ll see discrepencies already. Compare with pagesjaunes.fr (even more specific [local] population), and there’s nothing in common.
    See http://tinyurl.com/2uvrlc.
So to me your graph shows that twitter, techcrunch & technorati are all popular within the same population.
