I have a little over ten years of media and technology experience. My Bachelor’s degree included a major in English Literature, concentrating on Renaissance poetry, and a minor in Communications. Additionally, I hold a Master’s degree in Internet Engineering. Outside of my work Producing news websites, I have done some data modeling and J2EE application development for The Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard Law School. Most recently, my work in the fields of Instant Messaging and RSS was featured in the O’Reilly Media book “PHP Hacks”. I also hold a Technician Class amateur radio license.
I am currently working on creative ways to use OPML and SSE in web applications.

Hey Matt,
Thanks for joining the Last.fm group. I just let the group know that I’ve been in touch with someone on the Last staff and hope to have an actual conversation this week or next.
And my apologies for failing to take advantage of the Yahoo group–it’s a poor way to repay your generosity, and I’m truly sorry. I intended to switch everyone over from the other group we were using, and it just got pushed down further and further on my to-do list. But your post serves as a timely reminder to get my ass in gear. (If we don’t get it up and running soon, I’ll be happy to turn it back over to you.)
Hope all’s well. Small world–
Ed
After Web 2.0
“The web will become so important and so empowering to person to person and group to group communication that it will cease to be another place where we go. We will always be there.”
